Special Application Requirements & Passports | eTA Rush

Special Cases & Mandatory Security Checks

We maintain transparent policies for countries and travel documents requiring enhanced security scrutiny by Kenya Immigration.

The policy below applies to applicants whose profile automatically triggers enhanced security reviews, which can impact our ability to expedite existing applications or increase the associated advocacy fee.

Countries We Cannot Assist

Permanent Exclusion Policy

Due to mandatory, non-negotiable security requirements imposed by the Government of Kenya, we are absolutely unable to offer advocacy or assistance for any existing or new eTA applications from passport holders of:

AFGHANISTAN

Important Advisory from eTA Rush: As experts in Kenya immigration processes, we must advise against ever applying with an Afghanistan passport. While an eTA is officially required, applications face an extremely high likelihood of auto-rejection or an impossible chance of approval due to stringent security protocols. We cannot assist with any applications, and the risk of losing the government application fee is substantial.

Enhanced Scrutiny Cases

Applications from the following groups are subject to significant additional security checks. While we may be able to assist, the success is less certain and is handled strictly on a case-by-case basis under our "Diagnosis First" model.

  • High-Security Passport Holders:
    • SOMALIA
    • PALESTINE
  • All Non-Ordinary Passports (All Nationalities):

This includes Diplomatic, Service, Official, and all types of Non-Citizen/Non-Resident Travel Documents (see guide below).

Policy for Enhanced Scrutiny Cases:

For these applications, our diagnosis will determine if we can expedite your existing application or if a new application is necessary. If we can provide a solution, a very high, non-standard fee will apply to cover the extensive advocacy required. We will clearly communicate the custom fee after the free diagnosis, before you commit to payment.

Guide: Is Your Passport "Ordinary"?

It is critical to know your passport type, as it affects the complexity of the security check required.

1. Ordinary (Standard) Passport

This is the most common type of passport issued for general international travel.

  • What to Look For: The cover typically states "Passport" and the country name. It does not have a specific label like Diplomatic, Service, or Refugee.
  • Our Standard Service: Our normal fees and successful process apply to ordinary passport holders from all other countries.

2. Non-Ordinary (Special) Passport

These documents confer special status or are issued in lieu of a standard national passport.

  • What to Look For: The cover will be clearly marked with terms like:
    • - Diplomatic Passport
    • - Service/Official Passport
    • - Refugee Travel Document (or similar title, e.g., Nansen Passport)
    • - Non-Citizen/Non-Resident Travel Document
  • Advocacy Status: These fall under the Enhanced Scrutiny policy above, regardless of nationality.
